Research and Impact
SKY for improving student mental health
Researchers at the Yale Child Study Center and the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence (YCEI) conducted the study and found that following the SKY sessions, students reported improvements in six areas of well-being: depression, stress, mental health, mindfulness, positive affect, and social connectedness.

The SKY Campus Happiness Program offers SKY retreats in more than 50 campuses across the US, enabling students to be leaders and spread happiness in their community. Students learn to meditate from trained facilitators and gain valuable life skills that are frequently missed in academic curricula.

The International Association of Human Values (IAHV) is the parent organisation of SKY that offers programs in more than 15 countries for students, veterans, prisoners, refugees with a mission to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities.

Abhijit Suresh
President
Abhijit is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Neuroscience at CU Boulder. He was introduced through a friend to SKY Club and ended up having a great experience realizing that what he learned could also help others. Abhijit is intrigued by the benefits and research behind the techniques taught in the program. He found new friends with similar interests, people to meditate and hang out with, as well as community connection at CU. SKY Club provided the opportunity to volunteer within its national community where he was able to connect with a diverse group of students from many universities.
Annalise Brown
Vice President
Annalise is a Continuing Education student at CU Boulder studying Communication Sciences and Disorders with a specific passionate concentration in social communication. Her undergraduate degree is from Stockton University in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. She can usually be found reading a book or goofing around while engaging in the "hygge" type lifestyle. She loves to learn, volunteer and have in depth conversations. Fun Fact: She has a knack for creating unique words in her own personal journal/dictionary. She finds the tools of mindfulness to be useful during any challenging moments knowing it's the best way to meaningfully connect and to help others.
